The event, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford, happened on March 4th and 5th, 2021, with the participation of the attorney at law on the second day, at 10:45 am (UK time zone).
The workshop explored new forms of judicial activism and shifts in regulatory politics as two distinct, sometimes interrelated dimensions of the ‘law-politics’ nexus, covering topics such as: restrictions on judicial independence as a new form of ‘reverse’ judicial activism, recent surges in judicial activism that seek to enforce socio-economic and environmental rights in advanced developing countries, as well as activism among lower courts, besides several other subjects.
The broadcast occurred through the platform Zoom.
